SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
Investigation of tectonics and volcano-tectonic processes by means of analogue modelling techniques with particular focus on rifting and rift versus tectonic inheritance dynamics, as well as caldera collapse processes in various tectonic contexts, on Earth and other planets.
Investigation of the interaction between fluids (e.g., volcanic, geothermal, sedimentary) and structures, i.e., fluid migration pathways in several contexts (e.g., caldera settings, sedimentary volcanism and fluid escape pipes), and the structural evolution of orogenic belts, using analogue modelling, fieldwork, and seismic interpretation.
