EDUCATION

  • 2019-present, Researcher at IGG-CNR, Torino
  • 2018-2019, Post-Doctoral fellow at EOST Strasbourg
  • 2016-2018, Post-Doctoral fellow at CRPG Nancy
  • 2015, PhD, Earth Sciences, Géosciences Montpellier and Rennes (Topomod ETN)
  • 2011, MSc, Earth Sciences at “Università degli Studi di Torino”

 SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

  • My main research interests are in the mechanics of lithosphere deformation at rifted margins and subduction rollback systems. My research method is field-based (geological mapping, structural analysis) and aims at identifying information for modeling set-ups and kinematic/paleogeographic reconstructions (GPlates software)
  • In my analysis of large-scale dynamic systems, structural and stratigraphical field-derived datasets are integrated with microstructural, petrological and low-T/high-T geochronological studies, using GIS packages (ArcGis, QGis), optical microscopy, SEM-EDS, LA-ICP-MS, and classical thermobarometry
  • I address my scientific questions by a multidisciplinary approach, working in collaboration with modelers and scientists from other branches of geology such as geochemistry and paleontology

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

  • Fieldwork experience in the Mediterranean region (Betics, Calabria, Pyrenees, Sardinia, W Alps, Rif)
  • Convener at EGU2019, Vienna, for the session "Cross-disciplinary investigations of extensional systems". TS6.4/GD5.7/GMPV7.26/SM1.25/ SSP3.30 (co-organized)
  • Supervision of students' master thesis (Master 1 and 2: Montpellier, Rennes, Nancy) (Tesi di Laurea: Torino) (2012-2014, 2017, 2020)
  • Ground logistics and scientific supervision during master and bachelor field courses (ENS, Nancy; Géosciences Montpellier; 2012-2015; 2017-2018, 2020)
  • "Qualification à Maître de conférences", French Habilitation to Assistant Professorships, 2017

AWARDS AND INVITATIONS

  • Invited talks at GFZ Potsdam, Milano Bicocca, Torino, Pisa, BRGM Orléans, ISTO Orléans, CSIC Barcelona, SIG Bonn, CRPG Nancy (2016-2020)
