EUROVOLC

The H2020 EUROVOLC Project aimed at creating a European network of observatories and research infrastructures for volcanology. An integrated and harmonized European volcanological community will be able to fully support, exploit and build the infrastructures of existing and emerging national and European research, including the infrastructure of the European Supersite volcanoes. Joint research activities include in the project the production of services for the initialization of transport and dispersion models of volcanic ash during eruptions, integrated modeling of pre-eruption data and a complete catalog of European volcanoes. Transnational access to European active volcano observatories is facilitated and virtual access to various modeling and evaluation tools is offered, able to respond to alert or eruptive states.
