Mariasilvia Giamberini from IGG-CNR has just come back to Italy after three months spent at the Italian research base "Dirigibile Italia" in Ny Ålesund, Svalbard (NO) as "Acting station leader". in March, April and May, Mariasilvia and Claudio Artoni from University of Venice have run the base supporting both the routine research activities and new scientific projects, both from Italian and foreign researchers hosted at the Italian base thanks to scientific collaborations and agreements. In the meantime, Mariasilvia also released a number of interviews with schools and media, as part of the communication and outreach activities of CNR, and was happy to outreach the Ny Ålesund scientific community with the preliminary results of the research project she collaborates to, "Observing Earth Critical Zone Processes in the Bayelva Basin".
