All the "stones" have an age and a history and, if we know their language, they can tell us pictures of our planet. By observing the different rocks, the children will learn to recognize the main minerals, their structures and, with this information, will know if the rock has formed beneath the Earth's surface by a magma that has cooled slowly, if it was formed as a result of a volcanic eruption, if it is composed of fragments of other rocks previously eroded or if it has been transformed under the ground following an increase in pressure and temperature.
