Presentation on: Structural diagenesis of shallow platform carbonates: case study of early embrittlement on fracture setting and distribution, case study of Monte Alpi (Southern Apennines, Italy)

On March 6th at 2.00 pm in the Meeting Room at the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources (CNR-Pisa), Vincenzo La Bruna (CEREGE-UMR, Aix-Marseille Université) will give a presentation on: Structural diagenesis of shallow platform carbonates: case study of early embrittlement on fracture setting and distribution, case study of Monte Alpi (Southern Apennines, Italy).

On March 6th at 2.00 pm in the Meeting Room at the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources (CNR-Pisa), Vincenzo La Bruna (CEREGE-UMR, Aix-Marseille Université) will give a presentation on "Structural diagenesis of shallow platform carbonates: case study of early embrittlement on fracture setting and distribution, case study of Monte Alpi (Southern Apennines, Italy)". La Bruna began a scientific collaboration of isotopic characterization of carbonate rocks with IGG-CNR. In particular, he is interested in the study of the genesis of fractures in the carbonate cretaceous platform of Monte Alpi in Basilicata (Southern Italy). This study is of great scientific interest as it is aimed at understanding the diagenetic/structural evolution of Apulian carbonate rocks. In fact, the results obtained will lead to a better knowledge in the identification of the fracture networks that determine the migration and/or storage of geofluids in fractured carbonate reservoirs.
