The IV International Forum of the sea and the coasts will be held in Forte dei Marmi (Italy) from 10 to 13 October 2018. The event consists of four sessions: on the first day, the sessions "Coastal Management" and "Methods of investigation/detection" are planned; on the second day, "Coastal morphodynamics/interaction between ports and coasts" and "Climate change and submersion" are planned. During the session "Methods of investigation/detection", scheduled for the afternoon of the first day, Francesco Raffa, CNR-IGG will present his work entitled: "The Wave Radar System: an essential tool for the monitoring of coastal phenomena and marine infrastructures". For the third day, a Field Trip along the coast of Northern Tuscany is planned. At the end of the Forum, on the fourth day, there will be a meeting between the mayors of the territory (Massa, Carrara, Montignoso and Forte dei Marmi) and the experts participating at the event; this meeting is also open to the public and the press to illustrate the future initiatives.
