Critical Zone dynamics: Joint research activities between IGG and Gran Paradiso National Park

The Gran Paradiso National Park is a natural laboratory place to carry out research on the climate and the environment.

The Gran Paradiso National Park is a natural laboratory to carry out research on the climate and the environment. It is an optimal observatory of changes taking place on our planet.
In particular, the Alpine environment is constantly evolving both for its geology and for its ecosystems, fauna and flora.
For this reason, a collaboration between the Gran Paradiso National Park and the National Research Council (CNR), currently represented by the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources, has been consolidated.
Three projects are ongoing at this stage.
