European Technology & Innovation Platform on Deep Geothermal

Deep Geothermal ETIP (Support to the activities of the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Deep Geothermal) is a geothermal project funded under the HORIZON 2020 Programme. DG-ETIP aims to provide support to the activities of the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Deep Geothermal (ETIP-DG) for the two-year period envisaged by the call, and to pave the way for the future of ETIP. It also aims to collaboratively manage the ETIP secretariat through three partners, rather than a single one (EGEC), as is currently the case.
DG-ETIP's main objective is to establish an open stakeholder group, including representatives of industry, academia, research centers, national R&D funding agencies, NGOs, sectoral associations, and consumers, operating in the geothermal sector, from exploration to production and utilization of geothermal energy.
A further objective of DG-ETIP is to engage all public and private stakeholders to agree on a vision, a strategic research agenda, and an action plan for deep geothermal energy with common objectives for RD&I in 2030 and beyond.
Support to DG-ETIP will contribute to the SET-Plan's activities and strategy for research and innovation policy.
