DG-ETIP

Deep Geothermal ETIP (Support to the activities of the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Deep Geothermal) is a geothermal project, funded by the European Commission within the Framework Programme Horizon 2020.

The Deep Geothermal ETIP (Support to the activities of the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Deep Geothermal) aims at bringing a support to the activities of the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Deep Geothermal for the two-years period defined by the call, but also paving the way for the future of this ETIP. It aims also to run the secretariat of the ETIP in a collaborative way with three partners instead of EGEC alone as it is currently the case. The partners of DG-ETIP have the objectives to firstly make the ETIP on Deep Geothermal an open stakeholder group, including representatives from industry, academia, research centres, National R&D funding agencies and sectoral associations, covering the entire deep geothermal energy exploration, production and utilization value chain, as well as civil organisations such as NGO’s, unions and customer organisations. A second objective is to have all public and private stakeholders involved in this ETIP agreeing on a Vision, a Strategic Research Agenda and a technology Roadmap on deep geothermal with common objectives for RD&I in 2030 and beyond. Finally, the objective is to support this ETIP on deep geothermal to contribute to the SET-Plan activities and strategy regarding policy for research and innovation.
