The project HYDRO-ISLAND has been funded by UNESCO

The project HYDRO-ISLAND (Pianosa Island: hydrological processes and water resources sustainability in a climate-changing Mediterranean - P.I.: Marco Doveri, IGG-CNR, marco.doveri(at)igg.cnr.it) has been funded by UNESCO among many proposals from Europe, in the frame of the program “Promoting sustainable development through UNESCO’s programmes and sites”. The project will receive 25.000,00 dollars and will take one year. IGG, as scientific leader, Tuscan Archipelago National Park, as promoter of the project and responsible of Tuscan Islands Biosphere Reserve - MAB UNESCO, and the partners DSFTA-UniSi, DST-UniPi, GASP Museum and Turismo Sostenibile s.r.l. will cooperate focusing on climate change effects on water resources and ecosystems of small islands, considering Pianosa Island as reference site (see more).
