Instruments:: In collaboration with West Systems s.r.l. IGG built its own MT receivers, enriching the lab of two new prototypes acquiring MT data in low and high frequency bands. The new receivers optimize the electronics, reducing the weight and power consuption. Data are recorded on flash cards. Broadband systems ( 320-3•10-3Hz):

Fields of Applications: La magnetotellurica utilizza onde elettromagnetiche e studia le variazioni di resistività del sottosuolo. La profondità di investigazione varia da poche decine di metri a diverse decine di chilometri, ed è inversamente proporzionale alla frequenza del segnale studiato.
