• Thermochronology  of the rift areas (Eastern Africa Rift system).

• Thermochronology of Mountain chain, exhumation, , cooling age  (Northern Apennines, Peloritani Mts Sicily, High Atlas Morocco, Transantarctic Mountains). 

• Detrital Thermochronology (Plio-Pleistocenici sediments of the Tuscan basins and modern sands of the Arno and Magra Rivers)

• Datings of obsidians for provenance analysis.

• Tephrochronology (apatite, zircon , glass shards )
